Klimahaine für die "steinerne Stadt" beschreibt ein Konzept der Landshuter Bauminitiative.  Für die Umsetzung des Konzepts der Klimahaine in der Stadt Landshut schlagen wir vor: ein wissensbasiertes Ordnungsraster mit 100 m Achsmaß dient als planerische Orientierungshilfe für neue Klimahaine (Vorschlag 1); bestimmte Bestandsorte wie Krenkl, Dreifaltigkeitsplatz, Regierungsplatz, etc. werden als klimaberuhigte Ankerpunkte ausgebaut (Vorschlag 2); eine entsprechende Vernetzung bestehender und neuer klimaberuhigter Zonen im öffentlichen Stadtraum orientiert sich nach dem Ordnungsraster (Vorschlag 3). Begründung der Vorschläge des Konzeptpapiers: Wenn es in der steinernen Innenstadt keine Bäume gibt, wird es an sonnigen Tagen heiß, bleibt es heiß und wird es noch heißer. The English edition of the Manual of Masonry Construction by Ansgar and Benedikt Schulz is now available from DETAIL. Masonry is a complex topic: Authors from various disciplines – architecture, structural engineering, sustainability sciences, acoustics, fire consulting, and more – collaborated in creating this extensive book. I translated it from German to English. Finding a way to communicate all involved design and engineering issues to an international audience guided how the English version of the German original was crafted. Key concepts were discussed with the authors. Specific terms were researched, tested, and tested again. Suggestions were formulated, received, integrated. When you love architecture, even something as seemingly mundane as a brick can be a real treat. Klimahaine für Landshut Ein Initiative der "Landshuter Bauminitiative" (LBI) Warum sollen Bäume auch im dicht bebauten, „steinernen“ Stadtraum gepflanzt werden? Erstens tragen sie dazu bei, die zunehmend heißen Städte zu kühlen. Durch den Klimawandel entstehen urbane Hitzeinseln, die besonders für Kinder, ältere Menschen sowie Kranke gefährlich sein können. Entsprechende Vorschläge gibt es bereits, die Stadtplanung muss sie nur anwenden. Versiegelte Räume können durch technische, grüne und wasserbezogene Lösungen gekühlt werden, um der Bevölkerung Schutz vor Hitze zu bieten. Zweitens befinden sich Parks und Hinterhöfe oft nicht dort, wo Menschen sich tatsächlich aufhalten. Die moderne Stadtplanung hat Funktionen wie Wohnen, Arbeiten, Verkehr und Grün räumlich getrennt. 2025 im Rückspiegel der Nexialist Agency for Research and Communication 2025 war ein Jahr voller Überraschungen und mit überraschend vielen Aufträgen – in allen Bereichen, in denen ich "kreativ aktiv" bin oder publizistische Dienstleistungen anbiete. Urban Evolution was a key performance that materialized the ethos of the Nexialist Organization as a transdisciplinary platform connecting architecture, music, and visual design through shared creative methods and theoretical inquiry. A public-space performance in Weimar, Urban Evolution visualized cycles of construction and destruction to explore the city as a living, self-transforming system. Cities embody the continuous processes of building, destruction, and renewal — processes triggered by crisis, politics, or market forces. Urban Evolution sought to make these transformations visible and experiential through a live performance on the Theaterplatz in Weimar, Germany. The Mimesis Operation was a true manifestation of what the Nexialist Organization was about: a transdisciplinary platform connecting architecture, music, and visual design through shared creative methods and theoretical inquiry. A site-specific sound operation conducted within an architectural space, Mimesis transformed a building’s pneumatic facade into a resonant instrument, revealing the acoustic identity of architecture itself. Tezkosar.   On May 15, 2004, the Nexialist Organization conducted an operation in the studio building Mimesis in Putzbrunn, near Munich, designed by architect Peter Haimerl. This blogpost deals with one set of recordings in particular: An experimental study in sonic architecture, Generating Space transformed digitally processed sound into an exploration of imaginary spatial perception. FK’s work can be understood through three interwoven aspects: roots, methods, and aims. The roots trace back to the 1980s, influenced by early hip-hop, metal, and industrial pioneers such as Public Enemy, Big Black, and Godflesh. While it predates the founding of the Nexialist Organization, the Xenakis Emulator encapsulates its core intention as a transdisciplinary platform connecting architecture, music, and visual design through shared creative methods and theoretical inquiry.  An audiovisual homage to architect–composer Iannis Xenakis, the Xenakis Emulator recreated the structural logic of his composition Metastaseis and Le Corbusier’s monastery facade La Tourette through synchronized digital sound and animation. The Xenakis Emulator is a digital reinterpretation of these two key works. The project transformed the mathematical and musical relationships underlying both works into a synchronized audiovisual experience. In the 1950s, Xenakis collaborated with Le Corbusier on La Tourette, developing the rhythmic spacing of the vertical facade elements. Aus aktuellem Anlass – nämlich der Veröffentlichung meiner Risszeichnung des NEXUS in Perry Rhodan-Band 3351 – und meiner damit verbundenen Ernennung zum "Habitatarchitekten" durch die Redaktion enthält dieser Post meinen Artikel über Habitatarchitekturen in der Science Fiction. Erschienen ist "Ein Vordach vor dem Höhleneingang. Über die Beziehung zwischen Habitat und Architektur in der Science-Fiction" in den Andromeda Nachrichten mit der Nummer 281, herausgegeben vom Science Fiction Club Deutschland. Der Artikel beginnt so:  "Habitate im All, insbesondere künstliche Lebenswelten in ausgehöhlten Asteroiden sind bekannte Schauplätze der Science-Fiction. Doch nicht nur. Die Wissenschaft befasst sich auch mit ihnen. Rezension zu Bavarität (Detlev Kurth, Raumforschung und Raumordnung 03/25) Das Buch „Bavarität“ von Mark Kammerbauer beschäftigt sich mit der vielschichtigen Baukultur in Bayern und wie sie auf multiple Krisen reagiert, historisch und in der Gegenwart. Der Autor verknüpft dafür Ansätze aus Architektur, Städtebau und Stadtplanung in einem sozioökonomischen und kulturellen Kontext. Besonders hervorgehoben wird dabei der partizipative Ansatz, aber auch die Frage, wie Baukultur im öffentlichen Raum gesehen und verstanden, aber auch imaginiert werden kann. Es handelt sich um eine Sammlung von teils sehr unterschiedlichen Aufsätzen, die der Autor zu Themen der Baukultur verfasst hat. Baukultur in Bayern steht in einem steten Spannungsfeld aus Urbanität und Ruralität, aus Bodenständigkeit und Internationalität.
